Library Book Lending Policy

At Communication Plus+, we strive to provide equitable access to information and resources for all members of our community. To ensure fair and efficient lending practices, we have established the following policies:

  1. Loan Period: Most books may be borrowed for a standard loan period of one month. However, under specific circumstances, we will allow loans for one semester. We understand many of our resources are study materials or textbooks.
  1. Renewals: Patrons may renew borrowed items up to two times, provided there are no pending holds on the item. Renewals can typically be made over the phone or in person in the classroom, located in our office on Cantrell.
  1. Holds and Reservations: Patrons may place holds on items that are currently checked out. Once the item is returned, it will be held for the patron who placed the hold for a specified period. Notification methods for available holds may include email, phone, or text messages.
  1. Lost or Damaged Items: Patrons are responsible for returning borrowed items in the same condition as they were borrowed. Lost or significantly damaged items will incur replacement fees, which are typically based on the cost of the item plus any processing fees.

Our library’s lending policy aims to strike a balance between ensuring access to materials for all patrons while also maintaining the integrity and availability of our collection. By adhering to these policies, we hope to foster a positive and inclusive environment where the community can engage with a wide range of resources and information.
